Van Lear Rose
Three words: Loretta Lynn rocks. If you haven't heard Van Lear Rose (2004), then you have missed one of the great albums in recent memory. Lynn pairs with Jack White of The White Stripes to borrow a play from Johnny Cash's playbook--work with a young rock star who understands and appreciates the country tradition. The result is a great, great album.
